David Beckham is set to appear for Motorola’s commercials whereby he would be turned into a cybernetic being called the ‘Terminator’ while holding Motorola’s expensive phone called the Aura.
I can say that this particular advertisement is really creative – most probably they are targeting the next Terminator series which would soon be released in the cinemas, which Motorola would be taking advantage of this particular opportunity to create a huge buzz for their phone.
On the other hand, I feel that the Aura is simply too expensive for mass consumer usage – as the phone is reportedly to be retailed at $2,000. What makes matters worse is the fact that the world is currently in recession – I don’t think Motorola realizes this particular important fact.
