| Wall Street Paid $20 Billion in Bonuses for 2008 | | | |
| Written by admin | | Friday, 30 January 2009 | Obama slammed Wall Street for paying an obscene amount of money for 2008’s bonuses that amounted to a whopping $20 billion dollars. He called Wall Street key decision makers to be ‘shameful’ and ‘the height of irresponsibility’ whereby two of their biggest firms failed and the remainder were acquired or converted to a tightly regulated bank holding companies.
What’s even more shameful is the fact that a firm planned to purchase an aircraft using federal bailout funds – whereby the plans were shot down prematurely and did not materialized.
I’m beginning to think that the entire economic recession scenario is one of the biggest scam in history, which is proudly organized by various financial institutions, the media, the auto industry and real estate companies in the attempt to swindle the government’s money. What makes things even worse is the fact that these bailout funds are used improperly by these firms and those key decision makers are showing signs that they are already benefiting from the money that they have received.
It’s the biggest scam in history!
| | Nokia 6700, 6303, and 2700 | | | |
| Written by admin | | Tuesday, 27 January 2009 | For big fans of Nokia, the company has in fact launched 3 new handsets into the market – dubbed as the ‘classic handsets’. In fact, the Nokia 6700, 6303, and 2700 has all the function that the older 2006 models has – just that some of the hardware specs such as the onboard camera were enhanced.
Here is the price range for the Nokia 6700, 6303, and 2700:
Nokia 6700 classic: pre-tax €235 / about $311
Nokia 6303 classic: €135
Nokia 2700 classic: €65
The 6700 is a candy bar which features a very sleek black design. The onboard camera has been enhanced to 5 megapixel and it even comes with a GPS navigation system. On the other hand, you can expect to utilize it’s high speed data access via the HSPA connectivity.
The 2.2 inch 6303 on the other hand, has a pretty large design. I believe the ‘large’ factor is mainly attributed to the excellent battery performance of the phone. The 6303 also comes with a GPS system and Nokia maps.
The cheapest on line is the Nokia 2700. It has 2GB onboard memory and a 2 megapixel camera.
Here’s a photo of the Nokia 6700 classic for your viewing pleasure:
| | US Riddled with Con-Job Banks | | | |
| Written by admin | | Sunday, 25 January 2009 | As many as 25 banks in the United States failed last year and this means that there are billions of losses and I’m pretty sure that there are so many Americans being victimized by these ‘con-job’ banks!
Although banks that closed down lamented that they experienced an ‘extreme difficult’ financial year, last year, most of these banks show similar problems in their business model – high rates of foreclosures, pressure from tumbling real estate prices, tighter credit and some even have to merge with other institutions in order to stay alive.
Of course, I can solely determine that most of these banks are lead by ‘greedy’ corporate leaders and that most of them have profited significantly last year and are enjoying their ‘fruits of labor’ in a paradise located somewhere at the edge of this world.
Banks are supposed to safeguard one’s investment and they are lead by financial champions who know what to do best with the money that investors have invested. It’s not a valid reason for banks to tell investors that they lost their money during their ‘investment process’ and that their entire life savings is gone.
Do you smell the stench released by these ‘con-job’ banks?
| | Written by admin | | Thursday, 22 January 2009 | Looks like Acer is pushing out another Ferrari ultraportable out into the market and it’s the 1200 series. It seems that the latest ultraportable features some of the juiciest hardware specifications and I’m sure that you’ll like what you see.
In fact, the Acer Ferrari 1200 comes with the following hardware:
12.1-inch display Carbon fiber cover BT wireless mouse Xpress VoIP phone WiFi module AMD Turion X2 Ultra CPU 4GB of DDR2 RAM SATA HDD Fingerprint reader
There’s rumor that the new 1200 might feature a unique ventilation system which echoes the exhaust pipes of F1 cars. Well certainly this would appeal to F1 fans but as for normal users, I come to think that it’s an annoyance. I’m pretty sure for Acer Ferrari fans would be ready to pay a premium for their laptops as it wouldn’t be cheap in the market – after all it’s their Ferrari series right?
No word on the price and availability, so expect to pay lots of money for the 1200.
| | Obama Wish to Enhance Ties with China | | | |
| Written by admin | | Monday, 19 January 2009 | Bush supported Taiwan in their struggle for independence, while Obama is somewhat the opposite of Bush whereby he wishes to enhance ties with China instead. For those who aren’t adept with the latest world news, Taiwan has always been part of China and there isn’t a country called Taiwan – but it’s the People Liberation Army’s province, Taiwan.
On the other hand, I believe that the Bush administration has profited billions between China and Taiwan’s insecurity, whereby the United States defense department has sold billions worth of war technology to Taiwan. I believe that Bush is pretty cunning when it comes to arms sale – he disguise US support for Taiwan as something really noble, but in reality, he sold billions worth or armaments to Taiwan in the process. Probably he did the same thing in Afghanistan and Iraq as well, as it has always been a once in a lifetime opportunity to become President of the United States.
Well I believe the Obama administration would somehow change the US image as a war-hungry country. It’s even wiser to enhance ties with China – the country has the highest density of people, I’m pretty sure that opportunities are abundant in China rather than in Taiwan.

The squarish ‘presentation tablet’ features 1280 x 1024 SXGA resolution on a huge 19 inch screen, which is big enough for proper viewing on presentation materials. On the other hand, there are 2 USB 2.0 ports available for you to plug in USB devices to enhance the PL-900 LCD Tablet. What’s even more interesting is there are DVI-I input and output ports for you to connect to another monitor together.
If you are asking for the price of the Wacom’s PL-900 LCD Tablet, it’s available for purchase at a very steep 1,499 euros or $1,988. But before you are thinking that it’s not viable to purchase the tablet, I bet that your clients would appreciate the additional effort in ‘enhancing’ your presentation.
Here’s a picture of Wacom’s PL-900 LCD Tablet:
| | Buffalo 7-inch FTD-W71USB display | | | |
| Written by admin | | Monday, 12 January 2009 | Looking forward for a cheap and inexpensive solution to extend your monitor just a little bit? Well if you are, then you should probably take a look at Buffalo’s 7-inch FTD-W71USB display unit.
I believe that the 7 inch display is somewhat tiny, I really don’t think that it’s practical for high end graphics usage. But if you are looking for something that you can use just to extend your display a little bit, then the 7-inch FTD-W71USB display might be something that you should look forward to.
In fact, the 7 inch display can display up to 800 x 480 resolution and a 300 nits brightness, as well as 500:1 contrast ratio. What’s even more surprising is the fact that it has a really quick 25ms response time which I think you’ll love it watching fast paced action video or games on your little display unit.
Well the Buffalo 7-inch FTD-W71USB display unit would be available in Japan by the end of this month – so be in the watch for one of these displays in Japan.
| | Virgin Mobile Helio Ocean 2 | | | |
| Written by admin | | Wednesday, 07 January 2009 | I come to think that the Virgin Mobile's Helio Ocean 2 mobile phone is rather something ‘cute-sy’ for girls as it features a roundish look – and I mean almost everything in the design is pretty round!
What makes Virgin Mobile's Helio Ocean 2 rather unique is the fact that you can use it to blog anywhere you go, read your email, it even comes with specialized social networking program and I believe it also has all the features of a smartphone as well.
But seriously speaking, I don’t think that this is a phone for a guy – but it’s rather skewed towards a female taste. Being a guy myself, I wouldn’t purchase something this ‘cute’ to use, even though if it comes with all the advanced features. It’s a disgrace to men and those found using Virgin Mobile's Helio Ocean 2 should consider changing their sexual preference.
The Virgin Mobile's Helio Ocean 2 would be available some time in March this year and there’s no mention on price as well as packaged deals from mobile operators.
